Shawna and Come On III garnered the distinction of being the highest placed qualifying pair for the United States Equestrian Federation’s Developing Horse Championship for 7-9 year olds. Their average score of 72.063% was a full 3 percentage points ahead of the 2nd place combination. Shawna has achieved one of her goals for the year by qualifying for this prestigious event, and being the highest scoring horse/rider is a wonderful added bonus.
The Championship will be contested on September 15th and 16th at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. The format consists of riding the USEF Developing Horse Test on day one, which counts as 40% of the final score; and the Prix St. Georges on day two, which counts as 60%.
