Shawna and her student, Beth Daniels, had some success at the GHF/Collecting Gaits Farm Summer Dressage Show on August 25. Shawna scored a win in the Prix St. Georges aboard Come On III with a 73.5%. Beth Daniels won with Mozart in the Third Level 3 Adult Amateur class with a 64.5%. Shawna also secured Rigo’s (owned by Tonya Rowe) qualification into the USDF Region 3 Championships with their ride in the First Level 4. They scored 71.3%. Rigo is the third horse that Shawna has qualified in 5 different classes for the Region 3 Championships in October. The qualified horses are:
- Come On III - Intermediaire Freestyle
- Come On III - Intermediaire I
- Mozart - Fourth Level
- Mozart - Third Level
- Rigo - First Level
Torrential rains on Saturday night caused some problems with the footing and Shawna decided to put safety first and scratched all classes on Sunday.
