Shawna and several students had great rides at their two April shows.
On April 21-22 Shawna took Mozart, owned by Beth Daniels, to the Spring Fling Dressage Show in Camden, SC. The pair scored 70.233% in the Third Level Test 3 and 65.349% in the Fourth Level Test 1, good enough for first place in both classes.
Two of Shawna’s students also had great performances at the show. Diana Wood rode her own Florian to 1st place in the Third Level Test 3 with 64.651% and 2nd place in the Fourth Level Test 1 with 64.651%. Kathy Lewis rode her own Shamrock to a 1st place finish in the First Level Test 3 with 68.286% and a 2nd place finish in the First Level Test 3 with 64.286%.
On April 28-29 Shawna took her own Come On III and Beth Daniels’ Mozart to the Poplar Place Farm April Dressage Show in Hamilton, GA. Shawna and Come On III rode the Prix St. Georges both days, once as a qualifying ride for for the USEF National Developing Horse Dressage Championship to be held in September. Shawna and Come On III scored 71.250% on Saturday and 72.000% in her qualifying ride on Sunday. These two scores also earned Shawna the first and second best scores in the FEI High Score competition for the event.
Shawna and Mozart competed in and won the Third Level Test 3 class on both days. On Saturday they scored 72.791% and on Sunday they scored 67.907%.
